"Why do you want to learn Kannada?"
This is the question I ask in the very first Kannada class. And the following are the answers I normally get. Your answers give me an idea of how serious you are about your desire to learn Kannada. And the effort you are willing to put into making it a reality.

I have been in Bengaluru for a few years now. I am ashamed that I still don't know a word of Kannada.
